ISSUES

"People over politics."

Healthcare Reform

I’ve had a front-row seat to the decline of our healthcare system for the last 20 years. Constant pain worsened by treatment opened my eyes to the suffering many Tennesseans are forced to endure under our current misguided policies. This is why I advocate for change.

• Putting patients first
• Removing the federal government from the doctor-patient relationship
• Restoring civilian oversight of health-related state agencies
• Restoring treatment options for patients

Support for Veterans

Veterans have been asked to bear a tremendous burden. It’s time to give them the healthcare and mental health support they have earned defending our freedom.

Education

Education is the most significant investment we can make in our future. We need to focus on improving our public schools.
• All children are different: more focus on educational and emotional outcomes, less focus on data
• Improved funding for rural schools. All children should have a quality public education regardless of where they live
• Increased support for mental and emotional health.
• Increased support for Career and Technical Education

"I AM AT LIBERTY TO VOTE AS MY CONSCIENCE AND JUDGEMENT DICTATES
TO BE RIGHT, WITHOUT
THE YOKE OF ANY PARTY ON ME ... LOOK AT MY ARMS, YOU WILL FIND NO PARTY
HAND-CUFF ON THEM!”

and congressman who fell in the Battle of the Alamo.

Fiscal Responsibility

We must face the issue of fiscal responsibility head on. In the last 75 years alone, Americans worked together to win World War Two, rebuild Europe, put humans on the moon and win the Cold War. No challenge is too big for us when we put politics aside and work together.

Every Life is Sacred

Nothing is a surprise to God and every life is sacred and meaningful. However, being pro-life is more than just a slogan. It requires empathy and a long-term commitment to meaningful action.

• Policies and funding that make it much easier for a mother to keep her child and be a successful parent
• More support for child service, foster care and adoption agencies

The Second Amendment

I fully support the Second Amendment.
